It’s time for pro-active approach to human rights says HRO chief M Tameem
Jan 01 2012, – Human Rights Observers Organizes 30-day Human Rights public workshops, for civil society organization and human rights activist, intended for wanting basic human rights information Because human rights education is relatively challenging in India, activists with little experience in the field may be called upon to teach or lead workshops on human rights. The following workshop models, which are derived from successful workshops and cover a variety of human rights topics and time frames.
While inaugurating one month long workshop Chairman of HRO Mr. Tameem said It is time to have a pro-active approach to human rights in the workplace by initiating policies which will benefit you and your present and future employees or clients. During this 30-day workshop, human rights officers will use case scenarios to discuss: discrimination and harassment under The Human Rights Code, avoiding mistakes in the hiring process, and reasonable accommodation. This overview is recommended as a pre-requisite for other sessions.
Series of intensive workshops on advocacy, monitoring, and personal security and protection, meetings with persons and organisations will take place.
